Fried meatballs


1 kg minced meat /mix of 500gr pork mince+500gr beef mince/
1 egg
1 onion
1 slice of dry bread
1tsp tyme
ground black pepper to taste
bunch of parsley, chopped
1 pinch of fenugreek
oil for frying

Mix the minced meat with egg, chopped onion and spices. Soak the bread in a little water and then squeeze out as you mash it and add to the mince. Mix and shape into small balls the size of an egg. Flatten slightly and fry them in hot oil.




1 cucumber
400 – 500 g  natural or greek stile yoghurt
4 cloves of crushed garlic
3-4 sprigs of dill
1/2 tsp  salt
3-4 tbsp oil
300ml cold water

Cut the cucumber /cucumber could be peeled/  into small cubes and place in a tureen or other deep pot. To it add the beaten milk and mix. Add the garlic, chopped dill, salt and oil. Pour water in a thin stream, stirring. Put Tarator refrigerate and serve chilled. For rapidly cooling effect drop a few cubes of ice.
